Training and Supervision

Consultative ABA Services for Adults Training Program:

Would you like to learn more about behavior consultative services for adults?

Berth Behavior Consultation developed a structured program to train and equip students of ABA, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in best practices to support adults consultatively in home and community-based settings. The ultimate goal is to increase the network of ABA service providers able to work effectively with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Training and supervision vary in intensity and duration depending on the training needs of the individual or ABA provider agency. Each trainee receives education, training, and coaching in five areas of concentration (clinical systems and processes, understanding rules, policies, and procedures of consultative services, understanding vocabulary terms used in adult services, clinical approaches to providing support, and cultural sensitivity). Trainees have opportunities to work a clinical caseload with a fellow supervising clinician while receiving formal feedback and evaluations. Continuing education units are available in some cases.
