Shelby joined Berth Behavior Consultation in June 2020. She is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master’s degree in Special Education from Pace University. Shelby began her career in 2012 at a school district in South Carolina providing direct ABA services in the classroom. She then moved to New York City and taught Special Education for two years in District 75 for students with moderate to severe disabilities. Shelby then taught at a private Special Education school in Manhattan. While there, she went on to mentor other teachers and assisted in the development of a skill-streaming program. Shelby and her husband relocated to Wilmington, NC in 2018. She worked as a Registered Behavior Technician for the Autism Society of North Carolina while completing her BCBA coursework. Shelby brings a very valuable skill set to this practice with her teaching background, training of and collaboration with parents and other team members, and direct support experience.
